Kunyu Jewelry Mid-Autumn Mooncake DIY Event

The 15th day of the eighth lunar month is Mid-Autumn Festival, a time for reunion. At Kunyu Jewelry, we took a break from crafting hip-hop jewelry to host a cozy in-house mooncake-making session for our team.

We got several classic fillings ready for everyone: soft coconut paste, mellow jujube paste, and traditional five-nut filling with layered nutty flavors. Every part of the process was hands-on. Our team mixed dough, portioned fillings, wrapped them carefully, pressed patterns with mooncake molds, and waited for them to bake. When the baked mooncakes came out, sweet fragrance spread all over the workshop.

Handcrafting jewelry and making mooncakes are surprisingly alike. Both need steady hands, careful attention and patience to get every detail right. We spend days polishing Cuban chains and custom pendants; here, we put the same careful mindset into pressing mooncake patterns and adjusting fillings.

It was a nice pause from our daily work of designing and producing custom streetwear jewelry. Team members chatted while making pastries, sharing laughs as some mooncakes turned out perfectly and others had little messy, charming imperfections. Later, we tasted the fresh mooncakes together and enjoyed the quiet festive mood.

This small gathering reminds us what craftsmanship truly means. We bring this same dedicated spirit into every hip-hop jewelry piece we make for our global buyers and wholesale partners.

We’d like to send warm Mid-Autumn wishes to all our clients and collaborators. Hope you enjoy sweet treats and happy moments with your loved ones.
